Today we are diving into the music of Missouri! Enjoy new works from the American Wild Ensemble's project that honors and reflects on the state's 200 year history and hear from one of composers included in that collaboration: Ingrid Stölzel.

The Missouri-based group the American Wild Ensemble celebrates the people, places, and stories that shape American history and culture through the commission and performance of new music. Their new project honors and reflects the 200 year history of Missouri. We’ll listen to three of their recent commissions on this week's episode of Sound Currents.

This week's guests include composer Ingrid Stölzel with co-founders of the American Wild Ensemble, Emlyn Johnson and Daniel Ketter.
