You make the music play! Classical KC is a member-supported nonprofit service, and we depend on donations from our community of listeners to keep playing the music you love.

Become a member with a donation of any amount. Every gift makes a difference!

  • Join as a sustaining member with an ongoing monthly donation via your credit card or bank account, or
  • Make an annual gift with a one-time donation and we’ll send you a renewal reminder every year.

Member support enables Classical KC to continue the very best of classical music from Kansas City and around the world, free of charge and available 24-hours a day, on-air and online at classicalkc.org.

The Ovation Circle recognizes donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually, providing a catalytic foundation to build and scale Classical KC’s impact in our community. Other ways to support Classical KC

  • Planned Giving

    • Classical KC has partnered with Giving Docs to provide you with a free, easy-to-use tool for estate planning. You are not required to leave a gift to Classical KC in order to create a will; this is our gift to you. Your support already makes a difference every day. Offering Giving Docs is one small way we can thank you for helping Classical KC continue to inspire and connect our community.

      However, if you are so inclined, it's easy to include Classical KC in your will or trust. Your gift will help serve Kansas City with quality classical music and inspiration for years to come.

  • Matching Gifts

    • Matching gifts from your employer enhance your donation to Classical KC 91.9. To determine if your employer has a matching program, please contact your human resources office for your company’s policies and procedures.

      Classical KC is a service of the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Matching gifts should be directed to the UMKC Foundation for the benefit of Classical KC (EIN #26-0840496).

  • Donor Advised Funds

    • Donor Advised Funds, which are similar to charitable savings accounts, are an easy, cost-effective way to support our mission. You can transfer assets to a tax-exempt sponsoring organization and then recommend how much you would like granted to nonprofit organizations such as Classical KC 91.9.

      Gifts may be made to the UMKC Foundation for the benefit of Classical KC (EIN #26-0840496).

  • Donate Your Vehicle

    • Whether it’s in great shape or an old junker, your vehicle can support the music you love. Our vehicle donation partner will guide you through transferring the title and scheduling a pick-up. The proceeds from the sale of your vehicle are given to Classical KC. It’s fast, free, and may provide a tax deduction if you itemize your tax returns.

  • Endowments

    • The Classical KC Local Fund Endowment is held at the University of Missouri–Kansas City Foundation, producing earnings to support Classical KC’s local programming efforts and offering perpetual funding regardless of annual budget fluctuations.

      Endowments are one way individuals can support Classical KC, either by contributing to the Classical KC Local Fund Endowment or by establishing a new one (minimum gift of $25,000). Contact the UMKC Foundation for additional information.

  • Securities

    • Gifts of appreciated securities or mutual funds to Classical KC 91.9 can provide significant support. Gifts of securities may be used for general support, to establish an endowment, or in support of other current initiatives. Gifts should be made to the UMKC Foundation for the benefit of Classical KC.
