Lyric Opera of Kansas City has had a busy fall with "Soundscapes" performances throughout the community.
Also this fall, the Lyric brought in area musicologists including UMKC Conservatory's Alison DeSimone to create a streaming program called "Opera in Eight Parts" to guide audiences through the history of Opera. This will be available for streaming through December 31, 2020 from the Lyric's Website.
In December, the Lyric is producing a video of Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Vistors" starring Kelly Morel as the mother and Holly Ladage as Amahl. This production includes puppet work by Paul Mesner and is directed by Shawna Lucey. It will be available to stream from December 15 to December 31, 2020 by visiting the Lyric Opera of Kansas City's Website.
