Karen Campbell joined Classical KC and KCUR in 2020 but has been a long-time member and advocate for both stations. She is an experienced and enthusiastic fundraiser and strategic communications professional. Prior to joining KCUR, Karen led development and communications efforts at BikeWalkKC and Mid-America Arts Alliance. She is a proud graduate of UMKC with a Master of Arts degree. Kathleen Connaghan-Gross joined KCUR as the Membership Coordinator in January 2012. Previously, Kathleen helped coordinate the Memory Walks of the Alzheimer’s Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the first national conference of the Alban Institute. She also spent 10 years as a manager at Borders Books, hosting Harry Potter parties, alphabetizing the history section and finding more great books to read than she will be able to finish in this lifetime, despite her best efforts. She is a proud alum of Southwest High School in Kansas City and the George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and in her spare time enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Royals with her husband and dog.
